In under an hour, you can be atSt Andrews Links, home of golf for some 600 years. Host of the 2010 Open Championship, St Andrews has no fewer than seven courses, making it the largest public golf complex in Europe.
Golf has been played over the links at Carnoustie since the 1500s and you can be there in little more than an hour. It’s a public links, so everyone has the chance to play the Championship course that has hosted The Open seven times, most recently in 2007.
Just half an hour’s drive away, you’ll find the three celebrated Gleneagles courses, the renowned King’s, the secluded Queen’s and the PGA Centenary Course which was created by Jack Nicklaus and has been selected for the 2014 Ryder Cup.
